Well got a phone call today and Im seeing my gynecologist tuesday nexted week.So so pleased as the pain of the cysts has been getting me down and something will be done now.Could be pain free soon fingers crossed.Had to go private in the end as the nhs waiting list is months and months long and after having problems for years just want a end to it now.Wanted to share my news with you all.Love dawn xx

Did you ever look into progesterone cream? I have known people who have used even the over the counter varieties that have gotten rid of their ovarian cysts. I know you have been suffering a long time and wanted to make sure you had info on this. I suffer from cysts and have also had them in my breasts-my doc suggested taking vitamin E at 400IU daily and it actually shrinks them-I guess the vitamin E "eats" the cysts and so they shrink. You may want to ask your doctor if he/she would suggest this for you as well-it is amazing how fast it works. Angie- I have pretty severe Fibrocystic Breast Disease. Do you suppose the Vit E would do the same thing for this? Since I still have an ovary, I will still ovulate and probably still get swollen tender breasts every month. Very frustrating. But the benefits of keeping the ovary,if I could, seemed more important overall.

Kathy, my GYN several years ago told me to take Vit. E for mine and it helped a lot! I'd talk with your doctor and ask about dosage.....

I do know there are side effects from vitamin E. It does thin your blood and your Doctor should know all other prescriptions, herbs & vitamins you consume. Also be sure to have your blood preasure checked first. It's something to consider before you start taking mega doses of the vitamin.

Thanks Katie and Real Lady! I'm seeing my Doc for Post-Op check up on Thursday and will bring this up with her and also Progesterone Replacement! Lot's to talk about! I'm making my list! LOL
