This is especialy for you guys.

I have a wonderful man in my life but he had no clue as to what I was going through nor how to help. So, I have researched and thought about this alot and decided to list a few good things, you guys could do to help out.

1.) Understand that your lady has had a MAJOR surgery. No she may not have lost an arm or leg but she still needs her time to heal. Once again I am trying to invoke thought that would help a family member, spouse, partner, friend, or children of someone who is going to have a hysterectomy.

I would like to know if you were to give just one piece of advice what would it be?

Mine would be patience-both before and after the surgery.

I was hoping to start a post where we can share stories of how our friends and family helped us both before and after the surgery. I know that before mine I asked my husband to go on this site and just look around so he could get an idea of what to expect-he said he was glad he did.

A great place to share these cards would be your doctors office. Let your doctor know how much it helped you to get support from other women at Hyster Home and him/her to distribute the cards to other potential hysterectomy patients.
